Getting to Know: Alex Tincombe, Development Executive at BFA

Happy New Year from Bankfoot APAM (“BFA”)! We are looking forward to an exciting 2023 with some great projects in the pipeline. We spoke to Alex Tincombe, Development Executive at BFA recently about his current projects and why he enjoys working at Bankfoot APAM!

What development are you leading and what are the key ESG considerations?

1 Friary, Bristol will be an exciting addition to the Bristol office landscape and offers highly sustainable building performance through thoughtful design. This comprehensive repositioning utilises the buildings existing concrete frame, combining a new lightweight steel structure at upper levels, to reduce the carbon impact as much as possible. In addition, the scheme will have a high quality thermally efficient external envelope and all office floors will benefit from natural ventilation. The project is targeting the highest ratings for BREEAM, NABERs, and WELL certification – with Bankfoot APAM having worked closely with the expert design team and consultants to ensure this building will be one of the most sustainable in Bristol when delivered.

Why do you enjoy working at Bankfoot APAM?

It’s great to be part of something that is growing, not only do we have a wealth of knowledge across the development management team we are also able to work closely with the wider Catella APAM business to draw on expertise from Investment, Asset, Property and Facilities Management. We are also given the autonomy to bring new ideas to the ways in which we operate, not just internally but also in how we seek new opportunities and deliver developments.

What makes Bankfoot APAM different?

We are a growing team but have kept our competitive edge by remaining agile, this means as an employee I can be forward thinking and make decisions quickly. We have also allocated a lot of time to improve our ESG credentials as a business which brings a lot of satisfaction across projects being delivered.
